Some vehicle manufactures never had the thought that HID kits would become so abundant. Due to their popularity on such a wide scale of vehicles, we've encountered that some of the wiring on these applications use very cheap and flimsy material. Of course you only accept the best and reliable HID system, and we will only deliver that to you. But, why instal such a great HID kit to a cheesy wiring system. It's almost like buying an expensive deadbolt for your front door, but your front door is made of cardboard. We didn't think you'd like that either.
We made a beefed up version of what your car manufacture supplies you with. When starting up your car with poor wiring systems, this can cause improper HID start up, poor lighting or not staying on all together. Your HID system will withdraw a bit more power than your factory non-HID headlight will. By doing so, the quality and size of the wiring will need to match that of the amount it requires. In other terms, if you're extremely thirsty, you're going to want to drink a nice cold beverage with something bigger than a capri-sun straw.
Again, another easy solution DDM offers to answer back to potentially big problems! We guarantee our HID wiring harness kit by backing it with our 1 Year Warranty. |
Use this relay harness to connect HIDs to cars with very small gauge wiring that cannot supply the initial surge current required to light the bulbs reliably. Symptoms indicating the harness is required would be intermittent starting or lights going out after being turned on for several minutes and requiring you to turn the lights off and back on for them to turn back on again.
May be needed for vehicles in which the Daytime Running Lights are being converted to HID.
Recommended for all 55W HID installations but most American and European cars work at 35W/55W without the harness. The harness is definitely recommended for Quad's and other ATVs or when running multiple HID installations. This harness is a fused relay isolation harness capable of supplying 20A at 12vdc.
Not required when using High / Low kits.
