Error Code Eliminator Install

It is important that you check the polarity of the factory wiring before installing Error Code Eliminators (ECE).  The ECE contains a capacitor and they are polarity sensitive and will pop it plugged in backwards.  (See attached image showing power and ground location for ECE).

When installing the ECE with a wiring harness the ECE need to be installed between the factory wiring and the input to the harness.  If the ECE is installed between the output of the harness and the ballast they are not seen by the vehicles wiring and will not work.  The correct wiring is: Factory wiring -> Adaptors (if needed) -> ECE -> HID Harness -> Ballast -> Bulb.
