This high performance Brake Fluid is ideal for coping with the extreme demands posed by motor racing, autocross, or high performance driving. Exceeds all DOT 4 requirements. Dry boiling point 536 deg. F, wet boiling point 396 deg. F. This fluid is NOT SILICONE and is compatible with conventional brake fluid. It also available in blue color (See ATE Super Blue) to help when flushing the complete system.
We carry two types of ATE brake fluid. Super Blue and Type 200. Type 200 is the typical golden color. Super Blue has a blue dye in it to add color. We recommend alternating fluid colors when changing fluids annually. This will allow you to visually determine when each brake line and caliper or clutch cylinder is fully flushed as the color will change.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic, meaning it will absorb water. Water in the braking system will cause corrosion and lead to early brake component wear or damage. Therefore, flushing the fluid annually will eliminate moisture on a schedule generally acknowledged by the automotive industry to keep moisture absorption and corrosion to acceptable levels.
