The TMS Performance Chip for the 735i/iL is designed to produce large quantities of torque in a very usable RPM range. Jim Conforti tuned these chips on the dyno and altered the fuel and spark parameters to get better output. The result is over 20ft-lbs of torque gain at only 2000 RPM and a broader power band all the way up to redline. Installing a TMS Performance Chip is a safe upgrade even on high mileage cars as the changes are made to optimize the engine for premium fuel (91 or higher). The top speed limiter is removed and the rev limit is raised. Note: check here before ordering your Performance Chip.
Horsepower Gain, 1985-87 + 24 @ 5000RPM Torque Gain, 1985-87 + 29 @ 2000RPM New Rev Limit, 1985-87 6600RPM Horsepower Gain, 1988-92 + 43 @ 6250RPM Torque Gain, 1988-92 + 21 @ 2000RPM New Rev Limit, 1988-92 6800RPM If your car is a 1985-87 735i (E23 body), we need to know the part number of your car's ECU. If the ECU ends in 059, we need to know the number of pins on the original chip. For a 1989-92 735i/iL (E32) we need to know if your car is a manual or automatic transmission. |
